Steal An Egg Mounts & Shooting Stars — How to Get & Use

Update #8 landed on 2026-10-10 and added the game’s first mount system, a nightly currency that feeds it, and a new race event. Everything here comes from the official announcement — figures the team never published are not invented.

Mounts — pets you can ride

• Equip your favourite pets as mounts and ride them around the world.
• Every mount requires 1 Shooting Star, which is consumed when used.
• Mounting cannot be undone, so pick the pet deliberately.

Shooting Stars

• Every night there is a rare chance for a Shooting Star event: the sky turns dark and a star falls.
• During the event, every eligible player in the server receives a Shooting Star.
• You must be in the server from the start of that in-game day to be eligible — server hopping to farm stars does not work.
• Stellaris the Star Handler sells up to 5 Shooting Stars per week.
• The purchase limit resets every Saturday.
• The spawn chance and the exact in-game night window are not published.

Nitro Race and Trophies

• A race runs every 30 minutes; join it from the event menu.
• Racing pays Trophies.
• Trophies buy Boosters, Nitro Mutation consumables and an exclusive rare bat.
• Taking 1st place progresses the Win Pass.
• The Win Pass holds 5 new pets, unlocked through win milestones.
• Win Pass pets hatch like normal pets and also work as exclusive race mounts.

A practical plan

• Be in the server before the in-game day flips if you want a star — that is what the eligibility rule implies.
• Spend your first Shooting Stars on pets you will actually keep; the choice is permanent.
• Plan sessions around the race timer: a race starts once every 30 minutes, so grab it when you are back at base rather than interrupting a steal run.
• Save Trophies for the Nitro Mutation consumables unless you are still chasing the bat or the Win Pass pets.
