Teaser — "2 NEW MONSTERS coming" (names not revealed)
Official Discord #sneak-peeks (oDar, 2026-09-20 21:13 UTC): "2 NEW MONSTERS coming leaks on Brock's recent Tiktok 👀" — an official pointer to a leak video on co-owner Brockkodile's TikTok. The video itself is not accessible to us, so the monsters' names and details remain unverified; treat two new monsters as confirmed-upcoming and everything else as unconfirmed until the official Discord announces them.
Update 6 teased — "DR. SCRAMBLE'S REVENGE"
Official Discord sub-announcements (2026-09-20 04:52): the next update is teased as "DR. SCRAMBLE'S REVENGE 🧪 - Update 6", with the note that "this time, he's coming back with a vengeance". It follows the now-standard pattern of Admin Abuse events paired with updates (see the August 30 cadence entry). No date or mechanics were announced beyond the tease.
Update #5 live — Dr. Scramble arrives with drones, Samples and the Experiment Shop
Update #5 goes live (official Discord #announcements, Brock, 2026-09-19 23:45): "UPDATE #5 IS NOW LIVE - DR. SCRAMBLE HAS ARRIVED!" Dr. Scramble has appeared and his experiments are spreading across the map. His drones invade the world every 30 minutes — destroy them and collect their Samples, the new event currency. Samples are spent in the new Experiment Shop, which sells the Scrambled Mutation Consumable, the Experiment #001 Egg, the Experiment #013 Egg, and Boosters & More. Update #5 also hides a secret: somewhere on the map, Nibbles — AKA Experiment #013 — is hiding from Dr. Scramble. Finding him, discovering his secret mission and completing it yields a SECRET ITEM; the location and mission steps have not been officially revealed.
300,000 Discord members milestone
The official Steal An Egg Discord announces 300,000 members (official Discord announcements, Brock, 2026-09-18). The server was declared the one and only official server on 2026-08-12 and is the game's primary announcement channel.
Teaser — "Sammy is coming" Admin Abuse battle
Official Discord sub-announcements (oDar, 2026-09-15): "Sammy is coming" — a new Admin Abuse battle is teased, and players are pointed to the Roblox event page to get alerts (roblox.com/events/1731613937834787497, plus a Discord event in the official server). This is a teaser only: no date or mechanics were announced. It follows the now-standard pattern of Admin Abuse events paired with updates (see the August 30 cadence entry).
Update #4 live — Angels vs Demons biome, Luminous Egg and Secret Shrine
Update #4 goes live (official Discord #announcements, Brock, 2026-09-12 UTC) — the landing of the "LIGHT VS DARKNESS" tease from September 6. The new Angels & Demons biome has a chance every night to transform into either Angels or Demons, each side featuring 8 new animals to steal. Darkness: Flame Sprite (Legendary), Toro (Mythic), Imp (Cosmic), Demon Hound (Cosmic), Gargoyle (Secret), RazorFang (Secret), Skeleton Horse (Eternal), World Burner (Divine). Light: Dove (Legendary), Winged Lamb (Mythic), Sacred Moth (Cosmic), Holy Peacock (Cosmic), Pure Jellyfish (Secret), Centaur (Secret), Pegasus (Eternal), ArchAngel (Divine). A SECRET Merged Biome combining both sides with extra luck while active can also appear. A hidden Secret Shrine sits somewhere inside the new biome ("the Demons have been whispering..."). The Monster Egg is replaced by the new Luminous Egg — similar odds, with a rare chance to re-roll and unlock a luminous variant animal. A new top tier of Treadmill and Trail adds more speed, and a new Base Upgrade lets you equip +1 more pet.
Update #3 live — Rifts, the Overlord, Boss Mastery and Fractured Mutation
Update #3 goes live (official Discord #announcements, 2026-09-06): Rifts tear open across the map every 30 minutes. Enter a Rift, defeat the Overlord boss and earn Boss Tokens to spend in the new Boss Shop, which includes a chance to apply the new Fractured Mutation to your placed eggs. New Boss Mastery track: every boss kill earns Boss Mastery Points that unlock increasingly rare rewards, including Fractured Mutated Eggs. New Rift Sacrifices: a lobby Rift requests 3 random animals — sacrifice all 3 to receive an exclusive Rift Egg. Three rotating Rift Banners each hold 5 exclusive animals, rotating every 3 hours in sync across every server.
Rift update details from launch-day gameplay videos
Early gameplay guides of the live Rift event add detail beyond the announcement: the update adds 15 new pets under a new Limited/Rift category in the Index (with a Worlds category); Rift Sacrifice offers three eggs at different weights — Riftborn, Rift Beast and Shattered Rift — with named pets including Vault Eater and Void Serpent (Eternal) from Rift Beast and the ultra-rare Shard Colossus (Diamond) from Shattered Rift; the Boss Mastery track pays milestone eggs at 3, 10, 15 and 30 boss kills plus a permanent 50% token boost; a new bulk sell UI lets you sell multiple pets at once; pity exists on Rift eggs, and rerolling an offered sacrifice costs 40 Robux. The Hungry Frog event from Update #2 has been removed. Pet names are transcribed from gameplay footage, not yet from an official list.

The official Discord sub-announcements channel teases the game's fourth Admin Abuse & Update: "LIGHT VS DARKNESS — Update 4 Admin Abuse & Update Alerts", linking a Roblox event page (events/3414543093809152598) and a Discord event for alerts. No date or content details were given; per the cadence confirmed on August 30, expect it on a Saturday at 11:00 AM EST.
Third Admin Abuse & Update teased — "RIFTS ARE OPENING"
The official Discord sub-announcements channel teases the game's third Admin Abuse & Update with "RIFTS ARE OPENING…", linking the Roblox event page (events/2255520309497168470) and a Discord event for alerts.
Admin Abuse now scheduled every Saturday (11:00 AM EST)
The official Discord confirms there was no Admin Abuse that day and sets a fixed cadence: future Admin Abuse events run every Saturday at 11:00 AM EST.
Patch — Mecha pet cash fix + Hungry Frog egg odds up
Official Discord sub-announcements patch notes: the Mecha pet's Cash per Second value is corrected back to its intended number (it had been set wrong at Update #2 launch), and the Hungry Frog event's chance for parasitized eggs to spawn is increased.
Update #2 — Titan Temple Biome, Monster Egg, Hungry Frog event
Second major update, announced in the official Discord announcements channel ("UPDATE #2 IS NOW LIVE - MONSTERS ARE HERE"). Adds the Titan Temple biome with 8 new monster animals — Nightflame (Divine), Gorilla King (Eternal), Mutant Shark (Secret), Rhinotaur (Cosmic), Mantaris (Cosmic), Bladehide (Mythic), Crustacia (Legendary), Spideron (Legendary). The Monster Egg goes on sale in the Robux Store with 6 new monsters to hatch, each with a rare Mecha variant. New Hungry Frog event: parasites attach to eggs across the world — find an infected egg, bring it to your base and feed the parasite to the Hungry Frog; feeding 5 parasites earns a Monster Chest, which has a rare chance to contain the limited-time Monstrous Mutation for Titan Temple monsters.
Temporary takedown and return
The game became unavailable on Aug 24 ("We're working closely with Roblox to get it back up ASAP" — official Discord) and returned the next day: "Game should be back! If any issues, refresh your page."
Update #1 — Cherry Blossom Biome, 8 new animals, Sakura Incubator
First major update, announced in the official Discord announcements channel ("Update #1 IS NOW LIVE"). Adds the Cherry Blossom Biome with 8 new animals — Crane (Epic), Salamander (Legendary), Red Panda (Mythic), Snow Owl (Cosmic), Koi (Cosmic), Stag (Secret), Oni Tiger (Eternal), Kitsune (Divine). The Sakura Incubator unlocks new content: hatch a Crane, bring it to the ancient Sakura tree, restore the tree to unlock two new mutations (Bloom + the rare Spirit Bloom). The Great Bloom event runs every 30 minutes — the biome fills with Sakura Crystal Trees; break them for Sakura Crystals and deposit them into the incubator to mutate your eggs.
272K concurrent players
Official games API shows 272,685 playing, 73M visits, 153K favorites — up from 111K playing just five days earlier. Search interest hits its all-time peak.
Gifting disabled; anti-cheat announced
Owner utilyy: "gifting was disabled from the game and will either come back soon or instead trading. We are working on a powerful anti cheat that should be published soon. We are also working on Admin abuse for the next weekend." Trading posts in the community immediately shifted to reserve-style deals.
Search interest takes off
Google Trends interest jumps from ~18 to 32 in a single day, beginning the five-day climb to the Aug 18 peak of 100. Pet and egg queries break out the following day.
Maintenance + official server declaration
The game briefly went down and came back ("Game is back, tell me if you find any bugs" — official Discord). Owner utilyy also declared the Discord the only official server.
First gamepasses go on sale
X2 MONEY! (399 Robux) and X2 GROWTH SPEED! (467 Robux) both created on the same day per the official game-pass API — the game launched without monetization and added passes nine days in.
