Steal An Egg Dr. Scramble Event Guide — Drones, Samples & the Experiment Shop

Update #5 (2026-09-19) sent a mad scientist onto the map: Dr. Scramble has arrived, and his experiments are spreading across the world. Here is how the whole event loop works — everything below comes straight from the official announcement, with the unknowns clearly marked.

The drone invasion loop

Dr. Scramble’s drones invade the world on a timer. The event cycle is:

1. Every 30 minutes, Dr. Scramble’s drones invade the map.
2. Destroy the drones wherever they land.
3. Collect their Samples — the new event currency introduced in Update #5.
4. Spend Samples in the Experiment Shop.

It is the same every-30-minutes rhythm the game’s earlier events used (The Great Bloom, Rifts), so plan your runs around the timer rather than camping one spot.

The Experiment Shop

The Experiment Shop is where Samples are spent. Per the official announcement it sells:

• Scrambled Mutation Consumable — a consumable that applies the Scrambled Mutation. The announcement does not state which pets it can apply to or whether it is limited-time.
• Experiment #001 Egg
• Experiment #013 Egg
• Boosters & More — the announcement does not itemize these.

What hatches from the two Experiment Eggs is not stated in the announcement — we will update this guide once the hatches are confirmed in game or by the team.

Nibbles — the hidden Experiment #013

Buried inside the Update #5 announcement is a second mechanic:

“Somewhere on the map, Nibbles - AKA Experiment #013, is hiding from Dr. Scramble. Find Nibbles… Discover his secret mission… Complete his mission… Obtain a SECRET ITEM.”

What we actually know:

• Nibbles exists somewhere on the map and is hiding from Dr. Scramble.
• He has a secret mission; completing it yields a SECRET ITEM.
• His location is not officially revealed yet.
• The mission steps are not officially revealed yet.
• What the SECRET ITEM is has not been revealed either.

The ellipses in the announcement read like intentional breadcrumbs — the team appears to be letting the community find him. We are not listing community-claimed locations here until they can be verified; treat any specific spot you see on social media as unverified.

What’s next — Dr. Scramble’s Revenge

On 2026-09-20 the official Discord teased “DR. SCRAMBLE’S REVENGE” as Update 6, saying “this time, he’s coming back with a vengeance”. No date or mechanics were announced. Watch the update log — this guide will be expanded as soon as Update 6 lands.
